Internships and Experiential Learning

Shippensburg University has a long history of providing internships to students and employers.

Internships are centralized and coordinated within the Career Center, in collaboration with each of Ship’s three colleges.

Completing an internship provides excellent hands-on experience, boosts your resume, allows you to network with professionals, and may even lead to a job. Internships are highly recommended for all students and some programs of study even require them. If you have interest in or questions about obtaining an internship, you should reach out to the Director of Internships & Experiential Learning or the internship coordinator in your department.

For internship support, the Director of Internships & Experiential Learning in The Career Center can assist students at the undergraduate level in searching for, applying to, and securing internship positions. Contact the Director of Internships & Experiential Learning at intern@ship.edu or 717-477-1484 to schedule an appointment.

For more information, please attend an Internship 101 workshop! They are scheduled each semester, and a recording can be found here.
