Professional Dress Closet

Need to look professional on a budget? You’ve come to the right place! The Raider Ready Professional Dress Closet is a donation-based wardrobe service for any student at Shippensburg University.

About the RRPDC

The Raider Ready Professional Dress Closet (RRPDC) at Shippensburg University is housed and managed by the Career Center.

The RRPDC offers inclusive wardrobe options to all students as they prepare for professional meetings, such as interviews, internships, job shadow programs, career/job fairs, and more. The goal of the RRPDC is to help students make the best possible impression and feel confident during a professional meeting without having to worry about how to afford it.

How it Works

The Raider Ready Professional Dress Closet is located inside the Ceddia Union Building (CUB), room 108. Any currently enrolled, undergraduate and graduate, Ship student can visit the closet during posted hours or by appointment, and must present their valid SU ID card. With the assistance of the Career Center staff, students may help themselves to a limited number of clothing items per semester. This service is available to students at no charge. CVR Uniforms located in downtown Shippensburg will offer dry cleaning services to Ship students who utilize the RRPDC at significantly reduced rates.  Students may be asked to provide feedback on their experience.

*The Raider Ready Professional Dress Closet cannot guarantee the availability of all sizes, and is not responsible for laundering clothing donations.

Donations

Through advertised clothing drives, donors contribute gently used, professional clothing items, such as suits, dress pants, dress skirts, dress shirts and blouses, and neckties and bowties.

The clothes may be brought directly to the Career Center, Shippensburg University, 1871 Old Main Drive, CUB 108, Shippensburg, PA 17257 and deposited in the designated bin just outside the Center’s door. The clothes will be sorted, examined for damage, made available to students, or stored until the appropriate season. Rejected clothing items will be donated to local/area clothing charities. To schedule a donation or for questions, please contact the Career Center, career@ship.edu or call (717) 477-1484.
