At Shippensburg University, our Career Center is part of the Center for Career and Workforce Development (CCWD). CCWD builds, develops, and maintains relationships and partnerships with employers who hire and provide work-based learning opportunities for SU students and who are actively identifying ways to add, improve, or expand learning and development for their existing workforce.
Here are some ways that Shippensburg University is ready to partner with you whether it’s through the Career Center or the Office for Workforce Development!

The Career Center is dedicated to helping our students transition smoothly from classroom to career. Below are opportunities to partner and connect with SHIP students.

Post Vacancies on Handshake: Handshake is a free, online job, and internship opportunity database powered by Handshake, that offers recruiting services for students, alumni, employers, faculty, and staff. Some of the great services available through Handshake include internship and job search, posting your resume for employers/organizations to view, on-campus recruiting, career event registration, and more.
To create a Handshake account, please visit the employer login page. Complete the required fields and create a username and password. You will need your username and password to access your account in the future. If you have forgotten your password, please contact the Career Center for further assistance. The employer reference sheet is also helpful when creating your account.
Internships: Post internship opportunities via Handshake. If you would like additional information about internships at Shippensburg University, email intern@ship.edu to express your interest or for more information.
Career Fairs & Networking Expos: Held each fall and spring, Shippensburg University’s career fairs/networking expos are a great way to connect with Shippensburg University students. Notifications are sent out via Handshake, make sure you are signed up to receive updates. Check out upcoming events for a full schedule of programs.
On-Campus Recruiting Program: Our on-campus recruiting program helps you connect with students and alums to fill full-time jobs and internship positions by interviewing for those positions using our office space. Dates are available in September, October, November, February, March, and April each year.
To reserve a date, login to Handshake, click “Request an Interview,” then click “Create an Event.” For further instruction, take a look at this help sheet, or contact us directly!

Our employer sponsorship program provides more opportunities for employers to connect with students through our various sponsorship levels. Digital Campus Screens: PNG or JPEG sized 1920 X 1080 px (PowerPoint Slide Sized)
*Note: we have a premade template for you to use if you so choose – you are not required to use this. When using the template – make sure to select “Enable Edit” in the yellow bar across the top of the screen, this activates the template and will allow you to easily place images.
Campus Great Wall: PNG or JPEG sized 1080 X 1920 px (large vertical display in student union building)
Social Media: 1080 X 1350 px (posted to main feeds or stories on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram).
