Welcome to The Career and Leadership Skills Academy. This professional development opportunity is a collaboration of Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania Career Center and The Pennsylvania Banking Association. Completion of this program leads to a collaborative non-credit certificate. The program includes 15 hours of synchronous online instruction and a mentorship opportunity.
For the second year in a row, Shippensburg University will deliver a 10-week, live online series of professional and leadership development sessions for your interns. Topics include emotional intelligence, personal branding, networking, and inclusion and belonging in the workplace. If you would like your interns to participate, please register below.
Cohort 1: June 6, 2024 – August 1, 2024 | 11 AM – 12:30 PM
Cohort 2: June 6, 2024 – August 1, 2024 | 1:30 PM – 3 PM
*Intern registration for the first two cohorts is due by May 1, 2023. Based on demand we will determine if a third cohort is warranted. Upon maximum registration in all three Thursday Zoom cohorts, additional seats will be provided in an asynchronous program.
- Learners will obtain and gain insight on critical career and professional development foundational skills including DEI, interpersonal skills, communication, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence.
- Learners will develop an inclusive leadership style and approach that fits their personal abilities and workplace context.
- Learners will understand a Banking leader’s role in equity and inclusion and sustainable business practices.
