The Annex Teen Clinic provides sexual health care and education for young adults through age 25 in a friendly, non-judgmental, and comfortable atmosphere. The Annex Teen Clinic has been providing services in Northwest Hennepin County and North Minneapolis since 1971.

A Typical Day in the Life…
A typical day as The Annex’s Digital Content Intern provides an opportunity to work closely with the Development and Communications Team to manage the researching, planning, developing, and scheduling around elements of social media, and might include the following:
- Researching social media analytics to determine the current best practices for creating social media materials for our audience, with focus on either Meta Suite or LinkedIn.
- Researching best practices in increasing followers and engagement on a specific platform, with focus on either Meta Suite or LinkedIn.
- Using the research done and our current brand standards; plan, design, and schedule one social media campaign for either Meta Suite or LinkedIn promoting some element of our services or general sexual health and wellbeing.
- Meet at a set time once per week with the Marketing, Communications, and Development Manager for approximately 30 minutes to check in on the progress of the project, have questions answered, receive support, and work on team building.
Who You Are
- You have a strong attention to detail and strong computer skills.
- You have experience in digital content creation (preferred).
- You have experience using Canva (preferred).
- You have experience using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams (preferred).
- You can deliver a completed product within an established timeline while working independently and utilizing a high degree of problem-solving skills.
- You can exercise independent judgment and show initiative in performing assigned duties.
- You can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- You are able to receive feedback on creative outputs and utilize feedback to update creative outputs as needed.
- You can work effectively in a mission-driven agency whose clients and staff exhibit significant diversity with respect to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, nationality, and religion.
- You are located in Minnesota and will be for the duration of the three-month internship.
