Soft skills are personal attributes that enable someone to interact effectively and harmoniously with other people. Hard skills are teachable abilities or skill sets that are easy to quantify. Both Hard and Soft skills are important to learn as your progress through your professional careers.
Campus employment also provides the opportunity to work in areas related to your field of study. If you are interested in working in exercise science or physical therapy related fields, there are opportunities to work with the Sports Medicine and Strength and Conditioning departments. Communication and Journalism majors can look to work for the school broadcasting team and the school newspaper. Students have the opportunity to work as Graduate Assistants for various departments where they may assist with research or work on projects related to their field of study or interest. There are many opportunities to get real world experience in the areas students are studying, right here on campus.
